TRICK OR TREAT, A NATION IN ADMINISTRATIVE TURMOIL
By: Sam Mohammed Kromah
February 27, 2009

The Liberian civil war that started on December 24,
1989, as ugly as it may have been and endless as it may
have seemed was reported by the news media. The
indiscriminate killings, looting and destruction of
properties went on for years. There were both regional
and international efforts to stop the madness,
particularly by the Economic Community of West African
States (ECOWAS), spearheaded by the Great State of
Nigeria. We are grateful to our Creator and the News
Media, the Accra Comprehensive Peace Agreement led to
the victory of the UNITY PARTY.

Helping Liberia in Science and Technology: The Role of
LIMANY and I-HELP Liberia Project
By: Ibrahim Al-bakri Nyei and
Muhammad A. Kromah
February 19, 2009
Education in the 21st century requires the usage of
modern scientific technology and equipments to
practically demonstrate theoretical and mathematical
propositions in the classroom. The educational system in
Liberia is crippling with systemic difficulties in the
form of limited human resource capacity and acute
unavailability of resources to support the process. The
system is one of the worst still suffering the wreckage
of the civil crisis. Basically, the recovery of the
country in all sectors to meet the true aspiration of
national reform and reconstruction fully depends on a
vibrant educational sector that will build human
capacities and intelligence to recover and build the
other sectors to their anticipated potentials.

“Even
though Mrs. Sirleaf's apology should be well accepted by
all Liberians, it cannot, however, compensate for the
irreparable loss of innocent lives, cannot satisfy
justice, and therefore cannot be used as substitute for
justice.”
These words were contained in a prepared statement by
the Forum for the Establishment of War Crimes Court (FEWC)
that is demanding the resignation of President Ellen
Johnson Sirleaf.

affecting the growth and development of Liberia. Despite
enormous calls from readers for the resurgence of this
meaningful public enlightenment process, we still had to
maintain our silence for some deliberate reasons. Our
profound apology to the many readers and we are sure of
