against the Liberian dollar, says Government will soon
decide whether it should use only the local currency or

I was taken aback when the honorable minister of
Information (Mr. Bropleh) referred to King Osman Kamara
otherwise known as King Sao Bosso Kamara as Islamic King
without giving much credibility to his contribution in
brokering a rather rigid but timely negotiation between
the settlers and the natives of the coastal land of
Liberia. Our small history tells us that King Sao Bosso
was the first native ruler who gave protection to the
founders of the Liberian state and promised them the
security they had never had from where they came.

the twin cities was conceived, most people were happy
because there was a need for such an organization.
During those early days, the Minnesota Mandingo
Association (MMA) truly delivered on its promises,
Mandingoes moving to Minnesota were usually welcomed
with gifts; some even got financial assistance to help
ease the transition but most importantly they all
received warm welcome from their brothers and sisters in
the twin cities.

maintains its sanction on certain individuals who the
Council continues to believe pose a risk to Liberia and
regional peace and security through their actions.

emphatically stated that the Council's travel ban and
assets freeze remained in force.

US$9 million budgetary appropriation given for
