Eid Ul-Adha November 30, 2008 Zul
Hijjah Starts Saturday November 29th, 2008
Greetings and congratulation to all Muslims with the start of
Zul-hijjah the best days (10 days) in the sight of Allah.
It is officially announced in Makkah al-Mukarramah that Saturday,
November 29th, 2008 is the 1st day of Zul Hijjah. Therefore, Hajj
(day of Arafat) will be on Sunday, December 7th and Eid Ul-Adha will
be on Monday, December 8th, insha’ Allah. The Fiqh Council of North
America has taken the position that Eid Ul-Adha will follow the Day
of Hajj as announced in Makkah.
Eid Ul Adha prayer will be on Monday December
8th, 2008 at The Dallas Convention Center Hall F, in Downtown Dallas
9:30am Sharp.

Burnt Police Officer Cries for Help

officer Nathaniel Lackey, who was burnt by street gasoline sellers
in Monrovia in 2004 during the National Transitional Government of

help and an intervention from President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to
seek advance medical treatment out of the country.

We, the family of the late former Vice President of Liberia, Dr.
Harry F. Moniba, are observing a quiet remembrance of him on the
fourth anniversary of his passing. His death in a two-car accident
on November 24, 2004, in Michigan occurred while he was preparing to
again offer his experienced leadership to the Liberian people. He
may not have completed his campaign of “Liberia First”, but he had a
clear vision and tirelessly articulated it.

The Finance Ministry has released the schedule for
the disbursement of checks for Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL)
pensioners in alphabetical orders with immediate effect.
According to the Director of Public Affairs at the Finance Ministry,
Edward K. Spencer, the disbursement of checks for AFL pensioners
will begin today at Barclay Training Center in Monrovia at about
9:30 am.

– Barack Obama's grandmother, whose personality and bearing shaped
much of the life of the Democratic presidential contender, has died,
Obama announced Monday, one day before the election. Madelyn Payne
Dunham was 86.
